[With varying degrees of significance, Montessori pedagogy remained trendy for more than a century. Between the very laudatory opinions and the sharpest critics, what do we know about the one who invented a pedagogical method based on a unique experience, the Casa dei Bambini, who has transcended time with few changes? This text aims to enlighten the ideological, epistemological and spiritual dimensions on which the doctrine and the method are based. By avoiding sterile controversies, we will show how, if the method is of undeniable interest, certain points require clarification.]

Abstract/Notes: The purpose of this study is to find out the implications for the characteristics of inclusive education in Montessori Elementary Schools in Germany, affecting Korea's inclusive education. The research method was based on the data and information, collected by visiting the Montessori Schools in Germany, along with literature reviews, which is inclusive of data search on the Internet. Two major implications of this study are as follows: First, the most important and basic community spirit and the will to practice of Montessori Elementary Schools are thoroughly imprinted in school authorities, school members, and educational programs in integration education. Second, To realize the essential meaning of inclusive education, the proportion of students with disabilities in each school and class plays an important role. This means that students with disabilities should account for a certain percentage, not the proportion of very small number of students, regardless of schools or classes so as to prevent the isolation or stigma of students with disabilities. This is more effective than any other way in terms of the educational support of teachers.

Abstract/Notes: The article, an idea-historical contribution to the research on the Montessori pioneers of the early 20th century, takes a micro-historical actor perspective on the Montessori movement, which had a great impact in the inter-war educational debate, through an examination of five central actors from different countries. The focus is on their efforts for the movement, deea's driving forces and how they interpreted the liberation message of Montessorism in very different ways.
