[Person-centered approaches are a model of support for older people with cognitive disorders that have been developing in recent years. Its benefits have been well documented, but the concrete implementation of its main principles sometimes remains unclear. In this context, the Montessori method adapted to the elderly constitutes one of the proposals for concrete application. It integrates the vision and the main humanist principles of the scientific pedagogy of Maria Montessori and the tools and techniques of rehabilitation. It aims to give the person back control over his life, to encourage his involvement in meaningful activities and to give him back a place and a role in the community. In this literature review, we will first approach the current of person-centered approaches in a general way, then we will present in more detail the history and principles of the Montessori method adapted to the elderly in order to propose a clear and structured vision.]

School is a connection place between humans and their surroundings, it is more than a place to teach. It is the shelter that welcomes and promotes both an educational and a growth process. The relation between architecture and pedagogy is understood as a pedagogical instrument and this relation is intensifed by changes in society, which in turn have infuenced the design of the teaching space. From the 19th and 20th century, the introduction of new teaching methods resulted in new ways of looking at children and in a growing concern with pedagogy. This happened as a reflection of introducing new teaching methods. These innovative models block the rigidity of traditional models and nowadays, they're not so recognized. Montessori schools represent this new way of looking at education created by Maria Montessori, where children are independent beings and are the center of the educational process. This pedagogy is known by being complex and designed to detail to satisfy the need of autonomous beings. Just like the space for them. At the same time, the main characteristic of the new education is freedom, that is refected in the architectural space too, with fexible spaces that allow childrens appropriation. Montessori Pedagogy requires a teaching environment that encourages learning, giving the child the independence needed in today's society. So, this master's thesis, Children's Space: Three Models of Montessori Schools, shows how architecture to the Montesssori Method principles, throught various study cases like: Children's House in Viena (1922) by Franz Schuster, a primary Montessori School in Delft (1960/66) by Herman Hertzberguer and the Fuji Kindergarten designed by Tezuka Architects (2007). The study of these and more cases, revealed the Montessori Spaces through themes like: The School and the City, The School distribution, The Montessory Classroom and The Outdoor Space.

Abstract/Notes: This study investigated the effects of AMSP(American Montessori Society) on young children's creativity and intelligence according to the learning term. The questions for research were as follows:1. What is the effect of AMSP on young children's creativity according to the learning term?2. What is the effect of AMSP on young children's intelligence according to the learning term? The subjects of this study were 57 aged five-old children at H kindergarten in J. City. They were classified to three groups according to learning term of AMSP.The data were collected using the General Creativity Test for Children(Chon, kyoung-won, 2000), the Revised Korean Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (Park, kwang-bae 1995), and analysed by ANCOVA, the Scheffe test with SPSS 11.0 Program. The results of this study are summarized as follows:1. The longer the learning term was, the more AMSP improved young children's creativity significantly. The longer the learning term was, the more AMSP improved young children's creativity significantly. 2.The longer the learning term was, the more AMSP improved young children's intelligence significantly. The longer the learning term was, the more AMSP improved young children's intelligence significantly.
