An interesting feature of the evening was the illustration of the method of rhythmic singing and dancing given by the pupils of Mis Alys Bentley, who brought them from New York for that purpose. The reception was one of a series Dr. and Mrs. Bell are giving in compliment to the association. The next will be given on Thursday, April 2, at 9 o'clock, and the last on Monday night, April 13."

Abstract/Notes: Montessori’s philosophy of education has a profound impact on children’s (0-18 years old) education. When he analyzes human’s spiritual embryo, its implication is far beyond the scope of children, which contains thorough understanding and discovery on human from the perspective of biology and psychology: the human embryo is a separate process; human owns physiological function of spirituality when they are born; the spirituality in psychology shows its features in the free choice of the external environment - "sense of order", "sense of dignity" and "sense of satisfaction". These features are not only the key to a child’s development, but also the characteristics of innovative talent. Spirituality brings innovation when innovation brings future of the nation.

Abstract/Notes: "Madame Montessori, the famous Italian educator, will visit San Diego in the course of the next few months if the plans of members of the Dante Alighieri society and pedagogues of Southern California are brought to completion. S. Torre, president of the Dante Alighieri society, an organization of Italians interested in the preservation of their native tongue, said yesterday in Los Angeles that at the request of officials of the exposition, he had written to Madame Montessori at Rome, urging the famous teacher of children to come to this state for a few months."
