Abstract/Notes: The Montessori method is a method of teaching children according to their childhood personality. This method focuses the attention of children individually (child/student focus), focuses on practical life skills, freedom, independence, and pays attention to the child's sensitive period. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, learning is carried out online using multimedia technology with an internet network with the flexibility of being able to hold meetings between teachers and children to carry out learning interactions. The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of learning through the Montessori method during the covid-19 pandemic. Research subjects were selected using a non-probable sampling technique: target sampling (sampling with certain considerations). This study used five subjects at Kinderworld Montessori: the principal, two teachers at Kindergarten 1 and Kindergarten 2, and 2 parents. This research was analyzed by descriptive qualitative method. This study uses in-depth interviews and documentation to collect data with the analysis process using the Miles & Huberman method, namely, through four stages, namely data reduction, data display, conclusions and data verification. Based on the results of interviews with research subjects, it can be concluded that, during a pandemic learning activities using the Montessori method can be said to be relatively going well, but the percentage is not up to 100% as when learning is done offline, the reason is because the materials used when doing Montessori activities are substituted. or replaced with equipment that is relatively the same as the equipment available at home, even so the teacher still ensures that the learning outcomes of the Montessori Method are achieved well.

[In this book, Jutta Hollander first presents the essential principles of Maria Montessori's pedagogy in childhood and adolescence. In a next step, she deals with the question to what extent these guidelines can also be transferred to the entire lifespan. She focuses on the age phase and looks for possibilities of a convergent approach between Montessori pedagogy and gerontology. In this way, an approach is created that brings together more than 100 years of experience with Maria Montessori's pedagogy with the currently pressing demographic issues. How this idea can finally find its way into the various areas of gerontology - especially in geragogics, and how this potential can be developed and used in practice, is shown using the example of the household community.]

Abstract/Notes: In the 19th century the references concerning the education in the early years of infants took 2 different orientations. One uses an “educational mother” as the model. Between the love and limits that she offers her child, she brings a moral education. In the other reference, the educator, very respectful to the dynamic of the child, intervenes as little as possible. The objective is that he conquers autonomy and learns a sense of responsibilities. Two educated women are representative of these 2 tendencies: On one hand Pauline Kergomard (preschool inspector 1838–1925), author of “the motherly education at school”, in her teaching to school principals, presents as a reference the “comprehensive and devoted mother” taking care of the physical intellectual and moral development of children. In this case she represents more the dimension of “care”. On the other hand, Maria Montessori, (Italian pedagogue, 1870-1952) author of "scientific education”, is going to impute little by little her ideas based on the fact that the child has the necessary qualities to grow on his/her own. So according to the educator with just creating a high-quality environment in order to enable the child to find the extract to grow up and be the autor of their own evolution. We consider her to represent the concept of education, resulting from a method. We have presented the essence of both authors convictions. Alter restoring them in their context, we will confront them to see in what degree these methods are opposed or not, in the sense of seeing how they complete and intervene with each other. Our idea is to make use of the analysis of both orientations and develop to what point care is indispensable to the quality and the education of child and more over at the present time.
