Abstract/Notes: The study examined the impact of Montessori method and conventional method of teaching on the academic achievement of primary school pupils in Enugu East LGA, Enugu State, Nigeria. The design of the study is ex-post facto. Eighty six (86) pupils from primaries 5, 4, 3 and 2 from each school were sampled from a population of 419 pupils. Three research questions and three null hypothesis guided the study. Instrument for data collection was state uniformed examination questions (SUEQ). The data were analyzed using frequency distribution and tables were analyzed using frequency distribution tables and percentages as well as bar charts to answer the research questions while analysis of variance one-way ANOVA was used at 0.05 level of significance to test the null hypothesis. The result of the analysis showed that Montessori method of teaching has a greater impact on the academic achievement of pupils than the conventional method. Gender was no significant factor in pupils performed creditably. The study recommended that Montessori’s method of teaching allows experiential learning in a conducive environment and asuch Government school should set up Montessori schools in the state. Teachers should be exposed to seminar and workshops on the use of Montessori’s method of teaching in state schools.

Abstract/Notes: This action research project was conducted to investigate the impact of merging the literacy program The Daily 5 with the Montessori Method of reading instruction. This project was intended to study the independent reading stamina of the students. It was conducted in a public Montessori School with kindergarten aged students from an early childhood classroom. There were 13 students participating, six girls and seven boys. Pre-assessment data was gathered in the forms of a parent survey and a baseline student reading assessment. Student stamina was recorded on a daily log and student reflections were recorded once a week. After the project was complete, the parents and students were surveyed for final reflection. The results show that when students are able to choose their own books, their stamina for reading improves. More research needs to be done to investigate the impact of the other four areas from the Daily 5 model in combination with Montessori Literacy.

Abstract/Notes: Pronunciation is one of important aspects in English and one of the necessary components of oral communication. The purpose of this research is to find out Montessori Method and Demonstration Method effect on students’ Achievement in Pronunciation at Nakamura School. The method of this research based on experimental quantitative research doing with using a number, statistics process and structure. The population of this research will use to the primary 1 students of Nakamura School Medan. The writer used simple Random Sampling that is subset of individuals 9 a sample (chosen from a larger set 9 a population), each individual is chosen randomly and entirely. After collecting and analyzing the data, it was found that the lowest score of pre-test in experimental group was 20 and the highest score was 40 and the mean of pre-test was 30.00 and after administrated the method of Montessori method, the researcher found the lowest score of students’ pronunciation was 40 and the highest score was 80 and the mean of post-test was 61.43. It means that there was 20 (40-20) difference of the lowest score in pre-test and post-test. The mean score of the pre-test was 30.00, and the post-test is 61.43 (61.43 – 30.00 = 31.43). It can be concluded that the students’ scores in pre-test of experimental group was smaller than post-test, which was using Montessori method. The lowest score of pre-test in experimental group by Demonstration method was 10 and the highest score was 30, and the mean of pre-test was 22.86. After post-test was administered, the lowest score in experimental group was 50 and the and the highest was 80 and the mean of post-test was 61.43. The lowest score significantly improved. It means that the difference of the score was 50 (100-50). It also happened to the highest score, 80 improved to 100 (100-80 = 20). It means that the difference of the score was 30. The mean of pre-test was 22.86 and post-test was 61.43 (61.43- 22.86= 38.27). It can be concluded that the students’ score in the experimental group which was taught by applying Montessori method was significantly different and the students’ score in pre-test of experimental group was smaller than post-test , which was Demonstration method.

Abstract/Notes: Along the decline COVID-19 cases in Indonesia, the implementation of Limited Face-to-face Learning (PTM) in education units was again carried out by observing the implementation of strict health protocols by education units. In the implementation, various problems were found, such as the lack of awareness of students in implementing health protocols. The solutions offered by the Community Service team to support preventing the spread of COVID-19 and improving healthy lifestyles include developing a health protocol ambassador program through a peer teaching program with the Montessori method. This activity was carried on August 8, 2022 with assistance and monitoring carried out until August 22, 2022 at SD Muhammadiyah 01 Medan with a total sample of 60 people. The results showed an increase before and after the activity, before the activity was carried out as many as 31 (51.7%) respondents were at a moderate level of knowledge, 37 (61.7%) positive attitudes and 32 (53.3%) good behavior respondents. After the activities were carried out, 47 (78.3%) respondents had high knowledge, 60 (100%) positive attitudes and 46 (76.7%) good behavior. Therefore, this method is effective in increasing the knowledge, attitudes and behavior of students' awareness about health protocols and prevention of COVID-19 transmission.

Abstract/Notes: Artikel ini membahas tentang konsep pengajaran tentang Allah kepada anak usia dini dengan menggunakan memories method. Penanaman nilai spiritual dan pengajaran tentang Allah merupakan tugas orang tua dan gereja yang dapat di berikan kepada anak di usia dini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan konsep dasar pengajaran tentang Allah pada anak usia dini dengan menggunakan memories method menurut kajian Ulangan 6:7. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan jelas tentang objek yang diteliti, serta bertujuan mendeskripsikan atau menguraikan situasi faktual tentang bagaimana pengajaran tentang Allah di lakukan oleh orang tua dan pelayan terhadap anak usia dini di GPdI Imanuel CBA Mapanget.
