Abstract/Notes: Maria Montessori est entrée dans l’histoire avec l’élaboration d’une méthode qui s’appuie sur une vision de l’éducation comme ensemble de pratiques basées sur les ressources de l’élève et son élan vers l’exploration et la compréhension du monde. Cette éducation, capable, d’une part, de répondre aux besoins spécifiques et aux centres d’intérêts de l’enfant et, d’autre part, de respecter son rythme de développement, suppose de repenser entièrement les rôles traditionnels d’enseignant et d’élève. Quelles sont les conditions historiques et culturelles qui ont favorisé l’émergence de la pédagogie montessorienne? Quels obstacles ont rencontré la circulation de la méthode montessorienne et sa mise en œuvre dans les écoles? Quelle est la contribution de l’approche montessorienne à l’idée contemporaine d’éducation et d’école? L’article explore l’expérience montessorienne et son héritage, afin de proposer quelques réponses à ces questions. Abstract/Notes: The foundation of the pedagogy elaborated by Maria Montessori is the development of children's personality based on their interest, activity, individual characteristics and developmental rhythm. Its main compo-nents are: the child with his/her freedom of action, motion and choice, the educator as the child's helpmate, and the consciously designed and furnished environment. Montessori's pedagogical concept is all-com-prehensive and global, that is why it can be applied in the most varied cultures and religions. She promoted the individual thinking and deci-sion making of the educators in order to implement her accepted prin-ciples in their own pedagogy and not just expect the method to have its innovative effect. All her life she fought against the interpretation of her theory as being simply an educational method. The article presents the life of Maria Montessori, her pedagogy and her concept on religion and religious education. In the study the author examines some of Maria Montessori's universal and religious pedagogical principles (individual action, activity, the principle of freedom, the psychological principle, the social principle, moral education etc.).

Abstract/Notes: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan kecerdasan fisik motorik anak usia dini menurut konsep Montessori. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah pentingnya menegetahui pengembangan kecerdasan fisik motorik anak usia dini menurut konsep Montessori. Pengembangan fisik motorik bermanfaat untuk tumbuh kembang anak secara keseluruhan. Saat anak mampu mengkoordinasikan gerakan-gerakan otot di tubuhnya dengan optimal maka anak memiliki perkembangan kecerdasan fisik motorik yang baik. Konsep Montessori yang merupakan sebuah metode pendidikan oleh Maria Montessori. Montessori sebagai seorang ilmuwan, dokter dan juga seorang pendidik, menciptakan sebuah metode pendidikan yang memberikan kebebasan kepada anak didiknya. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kepustakaan (library research). Sumber data pada penelitian kepustakaan ini terdiri dari sumber primer, sekunder dan tersier. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan fisik motorik anak usia dini merupakan salah satu kecerdasan yang harus dikembangkan dalam diri anak dan konsep Montessori merupakan sebuah metode yang efektif untuk dilaksanakan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa urgensi pengembangan kecerdasan fisik motorik anak usia dini menurut konsep Montessori merupakan hal yang penting bagi pendidikan anak usia dini. Pengembangan fisik motorik anak bermanfaat untuk tumbuh kembang anak secara keseluruhan, dengan konsep Montessori pengembangan kecerdasan Fisik Motorik anak usia dini hasilnya akan optimal sesuai dengan standar tingkat pencapaian perkembangan anak.
