Abstract/Notes: "Palo Alto, March 10 - At a meeting of Montessori teachers held at Harker's school in Palo Alto Saturday, March 6, the Montessori Teachers' association of Northern California was organized for the purpose of mutual helpfulness and a furtherance and standardization of the system. The teachers were all earnest and enthusiastic and are looking forward to a more rapid acceptance of the method. The purely experimental stage is past and the two or three years of quiet observation and hard work have been productive of positive results. Mrs. Gunnell of Harker's school was elected president, and Miss Irma Weill of 555 Chestnut street, San Francisco, was elected secretary. Miss Weill will be glad to furnish, on application, any desired information with regard to the different schools or other matters of interest."
