Abstract/Notes: The first volume in the academic series is to be launched in the Spring of 2010. For over ten years, the teaching and research centre for Montessori Pedagogy of the University of Muenster has been working on this academic edition of Maria Montessori's collected works in German under the guidance of Prof. Dr Harald Ludwig in cooperation with the publishing house Herder and the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). In twenty-three volumes, the German reader will have access to virtually the whole of Montessori's published work, as well as portions of her extensive previously unpublished writings.
