Abstract/Notes: The Montessori method is a method of teaching children according to their childhood personality. This method focuses the attention of children individually (child/student focus), focuses on practical life skills, freedom, independence, and pays attention to the child's sensitive period. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, learning is carried out online using multimedia technology with an internet network with the flexibility of being able to hold meetings between teachers and children to carry out learning interactions. The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of learning through the Montessori method during the covid-19 pandemic. Research subjects were selected using a non-probable sampling technique: target sampling (sampling with certain considerations). This study used five subjects at Kinderworld Montessori: the principal, two teachers at Kindergarten 1 and Kindergarten 2, and 2 parents. This research was analyzed by descriptive qualitative method. This study uses in-depth interviews and documentation to collect data with the analysis process using the Miles & Huberman method, namely, through four stages, namely data reduction, data display, conclusions and data verification. Based on the results of interviews with research subjects, it can be concluded that, during a pandemic learning activities using the Montessori method can be said to be relatively going well, but the percentage is not up to 100% as when learning is done offline, the reason is because the materials used when doing Montessori activities are substituted. or replaced with equipment that is relatively the same as the equipment available at home, even so the teacher still ensures that the learning outcomes of the Montessori Method are achieved well.

Abstract/Notes: The main and early education centers also started from the family environment. One of the important aspects that needs to be educated is the spirituality of the child. Parents have a responsibility to work on this. The purpose of writing this scientific paper is to explain the role of parents in educating early childhood spirituality based on Deuteronomy 6. The author uses qualitative research methods. The role of parents in educating early childhood spirituality based on deuteronomy chapter 6 is by teaching the values of truth repeatedly, inviting children to worship God, and telling the history of the experience of faith with God to children. The main purpose is for the child to know and accept the Savior and live more and more like Christ.

Abstract/Notes: As attrition rates of teachers remain a concern and the establishment of Montessori public schools increases in the United States, studying the needs satisfaction of Montessori public school teachers is a way to address issues of retainment. This qualitative methods study used the Self-Determination Theory framework to guide an analysis of factors that impact the levels of autonomy, relatedness, and competence within a public Montessori school teacher’s work environment. This study gave public Montessori teachers an opportunity to share their stories and provide context to the issue of work satisfaction and dissatisfaction. Findings indicated that there are several factors and experiences that impact a public Montessori school teacher’s experience with autonomy, relatedness, and competence in their daily work. Additional findings are that these factors impact Montessori teachers on different levels: personal, school, and external. In analyzing these factors and level of impact, administrators and school districts can make sure that the work environments of public Montessori teachers are conducive.

Abstract/Notes: Understanding Childhood Violence Under Deadmans Skin: Discovering the Meaning of Children's Violent Play By Jane Katch 2002, Beacon Press (revised edition) Paperback, $19.00 144 pages In the thought-provoking book Under Deadmans Skin, Jane Katch delves deeply into the world of young children's fascination with violent play. If managed with the same preparedness as the rest of the Montessori classroom environment and facilitated by an adult who ensures the child's sense of psychological safety, why would we disallow violent games without first having a conversation with the children to understand why they feel drawn to playing them? Since Katch's book was first published, in 2002, there have been numerous and tragic school shootings, resulting in a staggering number of casualties. Along with adult modeling of Grace and Courtesy lessons, the Montessori classroom contains materials like the Peace Rose or the Wheel of Choice (a Positive Discipline material that encourages children to problem solve through the use of "I" statements).

Abstract/Notes: The study was conducted using a qualitative research method to examine Montessori preschool education practices in Turkiye. The study group consisted of 14 teachers in Montessori classrooms of preschools in the central district of a province in Turkiye. The data were collected with a Structured Classroom Observation Form, Material Control List and Semi-structured interviews. The MAXQDA 2022 software was used for the analysis of teacher interviews. According to the findings, the structure of the Montessori classrooms was generally in accordance with the Montessori philosophy, and there was a sufficient number and variety of Montessori materials in the classrooms. Practical life and mathematics activities were frequently included in the program. The most commonly used materials were sensorial and cosmic field materials. Teachers felt inadequate about Montessori practices. There were problems with the high-class size, mixed age, cost and supply of material. According to teachers, education provides children with self-regulation skills and enables effective learning. In addition, education has some advantages for parents and teachers. Children were bored with the activities, parents had insufficient knowledge of the practices, and teachers had time management problems. Finally, teachers offered recommendations for improving practices.
