Abstract/Notes: Cet article vise à restituer le rôle joué par la Società Umanitaria (Société Humanitaire), basée à Milan, pour la diffusion de la Méthode Montessori. La période étudiée s'étend de 1908, année où l'Union des femmes se fait intermédiaire en vue de la création des premières Maisons d'enfants dans le quartier de la via Solari, jusqu'à 1923, année de la mort d'Augusto Osimo, secrétaire général de cette institution. À travers l'analyse des échanges épistolaires entre Maria Montessori et Augusto Osimo, l’auteure reconstruit la trame complexe d'une fructueuse collaboration qui s'est concrétisée avec l’organisation de cours de formation à la méthode Montessori par la Società Umanitaria. Leur collaboration s’est par la suite de nouveau manifestée autour d'une cause commune, à savoir l'intervention en faveur des enfants victimes de la guerre. / This article aims to reconstruct the role played by the Società Umanitaria (Humanitarian Society), based in Milan, in spreading the Montessori method. The period under study spans from 1908, the year of the initial mediation of the Women’s Union’s members for the creation of the first Children’s Houses in the Società Umanitaria’s district, until 1923, the year of Augusto Osimo’s death, the general secretary of this institution. In particular, through the analysis of Maria Montessori and Augusto Osimo’s correspondence, the author highlights the complex history of their fruitful collaboration, which materialized with the organization of Montessori training courses by the Società Umanitaria. Their cooperation was further reinvigorated by a common cause, namely support for children who were victims of the war.

Abstract/Notes: O presente relatório foi desenvolvido no âmbito da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada em Educação Pré-Escolar, integrada no Mestrado em Educação Pré- Escolar e Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. Este estudo realizou-se com um grupo de vinte e quatro crianças com 4 anos de idade e a respetiva educadora, de um jardim-de-infância do distrito do Porto. Enquadrouse numa abordagem qualitativa, através de um estudo de caso, sendo a questão de partida orientadora da investigação: De que forma o método de Maria Montessori está presente na organização do ambiente educativo, ao nível do espaço e dos materiais no jardim de infância? Decorrente desta pergunta foram definidos objetivos e mobilizadas técnicas e instrumentos de recolha de dados: a observação participante, a análise documental, as notas de campo, o portefólio reflexivo e a entrevista à educadora cooperante. Assim sendo, foi possível concluir, que na instituição onde decorreu a pesquisa, a educadora cooperante sustentava algumas das suas intervenções educativas em princípios de Maria Montessori, ainda que de forma não consciente. Recorria, designadamente, a materiais e imagens, as mais reais possíveis e utilizava alguns materiais com inspiração no método Montessori na organização do ambiente educativo. Promovia atividades para trabalhar a educação do silêncio, a educação sensorial e a autonomia das crianças. Estas intervenções valorizavam a participação da criança e atribuíam-lhe centralidade no processo de ensino aprendizagem. Na linha da investigação-ação a estagiária teve uma intervenção junto do grupo de crianças sustentada em princípios do método de Montessori que passaram pela organização do ambiente educativo, utilização de materiais diversificados Montessorianos, nas atividades e situações pedagógicas que desenvolveu. Essa ação promoveu o desenvolvimento de várias áreas e domínios de desenvolvimento da criança, nomeadamente: a educação dos sentidos; a coordenação óculo-manual; a motricidade fina e grossa; a aquisição de habilidades para a vida diária; o desenvolvimento de competências de matemática e de linguagem oral e abordagem à escrita. [This report was developed within the scope of the Practice of Supervised Teaching in Pre-School Education, integrated in the Master's Degree in Pre-School Education and Teaching of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education. This study was carried out with a group of twenty-four 4-year-old children and their teacher, from a kindergarten in the district of Porto. It was framed in a qualitative approach, through a case study, with the starting question guiding the investigation: How is Maria Montessori's method present in the organization of the educational environment, in terms of space and materials in kindergarten? As a result of this question, objectives were defined and techniques and instruments for data collection were mobilized: participant observation, document analysis, field notes, the reflective portfolio and the interview with the cooperating educator. Therefore, it was possible to conclude that in the institution where the research took place, the cooperating educator supported some of her educational interventions in Maria Montessori principles, even if not consciously. She resorted, namely, to materials and images, as real as possible and used some materials inspired by the Montessori method in the organization of the educational environment. She promoted activities to work on the education of silence, sensory education and children's autonomy. These interventions valued the child's participation and attributed centrality to the teaching-learning process. In the line of action-research, the intern had an intervention with the group of children based on the principles of the Montessori method, which went through the organization of the educational environment, use of diverse Montessori materials, in the activities and pedagogical situations that she developed. Abstract/Notes: Este estudo tem como objetivo central apresentar os Trabalhos de Conclusão de Curso de Pedagogia que trazem as contribuições dos autores Maria Montessori e de Paulo Freire para a educação em Universidades da região da grande Florianópolis, verificando principalmente os trabalhos que fazem referência ao conceito de autonomia. Além dos pensadores em destaque Freire (1996) e Montessori (1965), utilizamos neste estudo também outros teóricos como Antunes (2008), Pereira (2014), Schram e Carvalho (2015). Esta pesquisa apresenta uma metodologia de natureza básica, com abordagem do problema qualitativo, com objetivo de estudo exploratório e descritivo e com conhecimento técnico do tipo bibliográfico e com uso da análise do conteúdo. A presente pesquisa apresenta o estado da arte das produções acadêmicas que envolvem Maria Montessori, Paulo Freire e o conceito de autonomia em investigações realizadas nas universidades públicas da grande Florianópolis. Ao realizar o estado da arte, selecionamos cinco TCCs que trazem as referidas discussões, num recorte temporal de 2010 a 2020.1. Além disso, a investigação apresenta a vida e obra de Maria Montessori e a vida e obra de Paulo Freire, além de alguns apontamentos com as contribuições de cada um desses autores referentes ao conceito de autonomia. O resultado obtido nesta pesquisa sinalizou o quanto que Freire e Montessori podem auxiliar na compreensão sobre o conceito de autonomia, considerando sempre o tempo histórico e a realidade vivida dos sujeitos envolvidos. Montessori a partir de um ambiente e profissionais preparados, compreende a autonomia como ato de liberdade de fazer. Para Freire, a autonomia é compreendida de forma democrática e como uma liberdade emancipadora. Portanto, a partir das pesquisas selecionadas podemos observar que a autonomia pode ir além do saber fazer as tarefas rotineiras de alimentação e higiene e, para que os sujeitos consigam desenvolver sua autonomia, os mesmos precisam exercer a liberdade de escolha e participar da mesma, mas para isso, o (a) professor (a) também pode colaborar, no sentido de estar comprometido com o processo emancipatório do ser humano. [The main objective of this study is to present the Completion Works of the Pedagogy Course that bring the contributions of the authors Maria Montessori and Paulo Freire to education in Universities in the greater Florianópolis region, verifying mainly the works that make reference to the concept of autonomy. In addition to the prominent thinkers Freire (1996) and Montessori (1965), we also used in this study other theorists such as Antunes (2008), Pereira (2014), Schram and Carvalho (2015). This research presents a methodology of a basic nature, with a qualitative approach to the problem, with the objective of an exploratory and descriptive study and with technical knowledge of the bibliographic type and with the use of content analysis. This research presents the state of the art of academic productions involving Maria Montessori, Paulo Freire and the concept of autonomy in investigations carried out in public universities in greater Florianópolis. When carrying out the state of the art, we selected five TCCs that bring the aforementioned discussions, in a time frame from 2010 to 2020.1. In addition, the investigation presents the life and work of Maria Montessori and the life and work of Paulo Freire, as well as some notes with the contributions of each of these authors regarding the concept of autonomy. The result obtained in this research signaled how much Freire and Montessori can help in understanding the concept of autonomy, always considering the historical time and the lived reality of the subjects involved. Montessori, from an environment and prepared professionals, understands autonomy as an act of freedom to do. For Freire, autonomy is understood in a democratic way and as an emancipatory freedom. Therefore, from the selected studies, we can observe that autonomy can go beyond knowing how to do routine tasks of food and hygiene and, for subjects to be able to develop their autonomy, they need to exercise freedom of choice and participate in it, but for this, the teacher can also collaborate, in the sense of being committed to the emancipatory process of the human being.]
