Abstract/Notes: Formerly entitled The Montessori Method: Scientific Pedagogy as Applied to Child Education in the Children's Houses. This book was first published in 1909 under the title 'Il Metodo della Pedagogia Scientifica Applicato all'Educazione Infantile nelle Case dei Bambini' ('The Montessori Method: Scientific Pedagogy as Applied to Child Education in the Children's Houses) and was revised in 1913, 1926, and 1935. Maria Montessori revised and reissued this book in 1948 and renamed it 'La Scoperta del Bambino'. This edition is based on the 6th Italian edition of 'La Scoperta del Bambino' published by the Italian publisher Garzanti, Milan, Italy in 1962. M. J. Costelloe, S. J. translated this Italian version into the English language in 1967 for Fides Publishers, Inc. In 2016 Fred Kelpin edited this version and added many footnotes. He incorporated new illustrations based on AMI-blueprints of the materials currently in use.

Abstract/Notes: As one of the leading figures of early childhood education, Montessori has provided a variety of concepts and thoughts in the development of early childhood education. The purpose of this study is to find out how to implement the concept of the role of teachers in montessori early childhood education in PAUD institutions. This research is qualitative descriptive research with this type of field research. In data collection researchers use interview, observation and documentation techniques. As for analyzing the data, researchers use three steps, namely ranging from data verification, presentation of data to drawing conclusions. The results of this study are the concept of the role of teachers respecting children, teachers respecting child development, teachers as observers, teachers preparing and maintaining the learning environment, teachers as interventions and teachers as catalysts applied by teachers through their role as educators, mentors, facilitators, organizers, evaluators and motivators for children. Keywords: role of teacher, education, early childhood, Montessori

[This work attempts to trace the considerations and aspects that illuminate the child in our society from the Montessori point of view, noting the similarities in the Montessori and Miller's pedagogical approaches. According to Montessori and Miller, the child is to be recognized as an equal human being, and the child's soul requires a special sensitivity on the part of the adult for its needs. It is important to support the children in their abilities in the best possible way. In relation to the pedagogical tension between independence and coercion, I deal with the contradiction between pedagogical norm and function from the point of view of Gruschka's cold studies. The cold studies point to the irreconcilable contradictions experienced by individuals between the norm of the social generality of education and the selection function of educational institutions. Finally, the social structures that cause cold as socially accepted behavior should be consciously perceived and reflected upon. For this it is necessary to give the children as much freedom as possible in which they have opportunities for experience. In addition, school education must be combined with the life of the children. to give the children as much freedom as possible in which they have opportunities for experience.
