Abstract/Notes: Now more than ever, our work needs to be revitalized around the social question of the child. We must be duly attentive to the relationship of the past to the present and to the future. Our work requires action – concrete action, action of the mind, and action of the heart, all embodied in hope. The “radiant future” Montessori talked about is possible if we work collectively with our eyes wide open. This talk was presented at the NAMTA Conference entitled “Montessori: Learning for All” in Baltimore / Columbia, MD on October 11-12, 2019.
