Abstract/Notes: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan (1) Efektivitas Penggunaan Media Pembelajaran Superbook. (2) Faktor-faktor yang menghambat Efektivitas Penggunaan Media Pembelajaran Superbook. (3) Upaya yang dilakukan Komisi Pelayanan Anak untuk mengatasi hambatan Penggunaan Media Pembelajaran Superbook bagi Anak Sekolah Minggu GMIM Bukit Sion dan Tesalonika Mapanget. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metdoe deskriptif yang dilakukan di Gereja Masehi Injili di Minahasa (GMIM) Bukit Sion dan Tesalonika Mapanget. Data yang dikumpulkan melalu observasi partisipatif, wawancara , studi dokumen. Analisis dan interpretasi data menunjukkan bahwa (1) Efektivitas penggunaan media pembelajaran Superbook sudah berjalan dengan baik. Di dalam Superbook mengandung nilai-nilai kristiani yang cocok dengan karakteristik anak zaman sekarang. Sangat sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak dan memberikan pemahaman mengenai perilaku yang baik dan buruk. (2) Faktor-faktor penghambat penggunaan media pembelajaran ialah peran penyelenggara PAK dalam hal ini pendeta, guru agama, guru sekolah minggu dan orangtua tentang penggunaan Gadget bagi anak usia 6-12 tahun. (3) Upaya yang dilakukan gereja dalam mengatasi hambatan tersebut ialah memfasilitasi alat-alat penunjang berupa laptop/TV, DVD/LCD Proyektor dan Sound System dan Guru Sekolah Minggu giat mengikuti pelatihan Superbook.

Abstract/Notes: My personal search for principles and practices to guide my role as a teacher of young children took me to Munich, Germany to be trained in the Montessori method; to Tumbaco, Ecuador to be a teacher trainee at the Wild's active school and most recently to Bali, Indonesia to experience Jean Liedloff's notion of a continuum concept. This search has brought me skills to set up an environment for children and to better understand my role in it. My work with children has helped me to integrate the principles and practices of individuals who have inspired my own feelings, thoughts and actions, thereby eliminating conflicts which I have previously experienced.

Abstract/Notes: Lili Peller's "The Children's House" essay begins where Maria Montessori left off in her description of space articulations. Peller does not name Montessori specifically as she always had a desire to become independent in her own right as a neo-Freudian child analyst. But the Haus Der Kinder founded in summer of 1922 suggests a total Montessori influence as it calls for "adventures in space" with house-like rooms for different functions, both for play and for work, for practical functions: library, kitchen, workshop, quiet room, alcoves, nooks, and terraces for special individual work, with all spaces focusing on the relationships between indoor and outdoor environments. [This article was reprinted from "The NAMTA Quarterly" 3,1 (1978 Spring): 47-55.]
