Abstract/Notes: "Mrs. Katherine Clemmons Gould, divorced wife of Howard Gould, arrived in San Francisco today and will depart for the Orient in eight days with Mrs. Wong Sun Yue, her sister, with the object of introducing the Montessori system of education in China and Japan. Mrs. Gould is still involved in litigation with her former husband, the multi-millionaire railroad magnate, but has been awarded by judicial decree an income of $100 a day."

Abstract/Notes: Led to newfields by an ambition to advance the youth of China, Mrs. Wong Sun Yue, wife of a prominent San Francisco Chinese and sister of Mrs. Howard Gould, sailed today aboard the steamer China for Shanghai, where she will begin the introduction of the Montessori system of child training. She was accompanied by her husband and Ah Yee, a 16-year-old Chinese girl who has been her ward. Upon arrival in China she will be joined by Mrs. Gould, formerly Katherine Clemens, well known actress, who also is interested in the work.
