[Person-centered approaches are a model of support for older people with cognitive disorders that have been developing in recent years. Its benefits have been well documented, but the concrete implementation of its main principles sometimes remains unclear. In this context, the Montessori method adapted to the elderly constitutes one of the proposals for concrete application. It integrates the vision and the main humanist principles of the scientific pedagogy of Maria Montessori and the tools and techniques of rehabilitation. It aims to give the person back control over his life, to encourage his involvement in meaningful activities and to give him back a place and a role in the community. In this literature review, we will first approach the current of person-centered approaches in a general way, then we will present in more detail the history and principles of the Montessori method adapted to the elderly in order to propose a clear and structured vision.]

Abstract/Notes: Bakalářská práce Specifika řízení montessori škol se zaměřuje na rozdíly v řízení montessori škol a škol bez montessori vzdělávacího programu. Cílem práce je zjistit rozdíly v řízení montessori škol a škol bez montessori vzdělávacího programu. The chapter on human resources management describes recruitment, development, evaluation of employees and supervision. The next part concerns alternative education with a focus on the personality of Maria Montessori and the specifics of this pedagogical direction. Abstract/Notes: "Pre-Katrina" and "Post-Katrina" are common terms for time frames these days in New Orleans, often reminding me of the BCE/CE timeline distinctions. You hear "Pre-Katrina" and "Post-Katrina" on the news, in the paper, and in everyday conversations. Although more and more people have moved back to New Orleans, businesses and restaurants are open, the St. Charles streetcar is running again, and normal life is continuing, Hurricane Katrina is still an everyday topic of conversation. In the midst of the constant reminders of the storm, Montessori education proved to be a stabilizing force in our school community. This is the story of how one public Montessori survived and redefined itself after Hurricane Katrina. (Contains 1 footnote.)
