Abstract/Notes: Artikel ini mengkaji tentang sejarah munculnya metode montessori dan esensi metode montessori dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa munculnya metode montessori bermula dari ketertarikan Montessori pada anak-anak idiot menjadikannya akrab dengan metode pendidikan khusus yang dirancang bagi anak-anak kecil. Selanjutnya metode khusus tersebut diterapkan kepada anak-anak normal. Adapun esensi metode montessori dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini adalah the absorbent mind, the conscious mind, the sensitive periods (sensitivity to order, sensitivity to language, sensitivity to walking, sensitivity to the social aspects of life, sensitivity to small objects, sensitivity learning through the senses), children want to learn, learning through play, stages of development, and encouraging independence. [This article examines the history of the emergence and essence of Montessori method Montessori methods in early childhood learning. The results showed that the appearance stems from the Montessori Method interest in children idiot making familiar with special education methods designed for small children. Furthermore, the specific methods applied to normal children. Abstract/Notes: Tulisan ini berusaha menjelaskan pendidikan Islam dari sudut pandang Maria Montessori, yang merupakan tokoh pendidikan anak yang mencurahkan hampir keseluruhan hidupnya untuk anak-anak. Maria Montessori memiliki prinsip dasar mengenai metode montessori ini, yang sangat memfokuskan anak sebagai childern center dan orang dewasa sebagai pembimbing. Menurutnya, suatu fase kehidupan di awal sangat berpengaruh terhadap faserase kehidupan selanjutnya artinya bahwa pengalaman-pengalaman yang dialami oleh seorang anak di awal kehidupannya sangat berpengaruh terhadap kedewasaannya kelak begitu juga perlakuan yang di dapatkan anak sejak kecil akan sangat berpengaruh terhadap perkembang an anak selanjutnya. Kemudiaan sebagai umat Islam, sudah menjadi kewajiban bagi orang tua dan pendidik untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai ke-Islaman pada anak-anaknya. Dan agar nilai-nilai ke-Islaman tersebut dapat terserap dengan sempurna, maka harus diajarkan sejak anak-anak usia dini juga. Rasulullah telah menegaskan tentang tanggung jawab orang tua terhadap anak-anak dalam sabdanya. [This paper tries to explain Islamic education from the perspective of Maria Montessori, who is a figure of children's education who devotes almost her entire life to children. Maria Montessori has a basic principle regarding this Montessori Method, which is very focused on children as children centers and adults as guides. According to him, a phase of life at the beginning is very influential on the phases of the next life which means that the experiences experienced by a child early in life are very influential on their maturity as well as the treatment that children get from childhood will greatly affect the subsequent development of children. Youth as Muslims, it has become an obligation for parents and educators to instill Islamic values in their children. And so that these Islamic values can be absorbed perfectly, it must be taught from an early age as well. Rasulullah has emphasized the responsibility of parents towards children in their sayings.]

Abstract/Notes: This study aims to create an interactive application of beginning counting with the Montessori method that appropriate to apply as a learning media in Kindergarten. And also to find out the appropriateness of interactive application. The research method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) and using the ADDIE development model. The development model is divided into 5 stages : (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, and (5) Evaluation. In the development stage, the RAD (Rapid Application Development) method is used. The interview method, literature method, and instrument method are used in collecting data. Further, interactive application validated or assessed by media expert and material expert. The results showed that the interactive application of beginning counting with the Montessori method successfully created. The application divided into 3 parts : (1) Knowing numbers, (2) Sorting numbers, and (3) Counting with numbers. Based on the results of the validation of the interactive application, the percentage of interactive application appropriateness were obtained 96.6% by material expert, and 94.7% by media expert. This shows that the interactive application that has been developed can be used as learning resources or learning media of beginning counting.

Abstract/Notes: The low level of reading comprehension in elementary school students can certainly affect their learning motivation in the learning process. To overcome this problem, this study aims: to investigate the effect of the Montessori-based Big Book on understanding Early Reading Skills and Learning Motivation. Quasi-experimental design was applied in this study. There were 26 students (14 males and 12 females) from SDN Pucang 4 as an experimental group and 23 students (13 males and 10 females) from SDN Pucang 2 were included as a control group. Data analysis in this study used an independent sample t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that students in the experimental group had higher scores better than the control group. This shows that the Montessori-based Big Book significantly promotes understanding of Early Reading Skills and Learning Motivation in the experimental group compared to control group students.

Abstract/Notes: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemandirian anak setelah penerapan pembelajaran metode Montessori di Bright Star Makassar School. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain pretest-posttest one group dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak lima belas anak. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan observasi dan wawancara. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa skala observasi kemandirian (behavioral checklist pada kemandirian anak) dengan model skala likert dan guide interview. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistic non parametric Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Hasilnya menunjukkan p = 0.001 (p < 0.05), artinya penerapan metode Montessori signifikan meningkatkan kemandirian anak di Bright Star Makassar School. Keseluruhan sampel dalam penelitian ini semakin mandiri setelah diterapkan pembelajaran menggunakan metode Montessori dan tidak ada satu anak pun yang tidak mengalami kemajuan kemandirian. Begitu pula berdasarkan data statistik deskriptif ditemukan adanya perbedaan rata-rata skor kemandirian sebelum dengan rata-rata skor kemandirian sesudah perlakuan pembelajaran menggunakan metode Montessori. Penelitian ini membuktikan kemandirian anak dapat ditingkatkan melalui pembelajaran metode Montessori. [This study aims to determine the independence of children after the application of the Montessori method of learning at Bright Star Makassar School. This research is an experimental study using a one group pretest-posttest design with fifteen children as research subjects. Data were collected using observation and interviews. The data collection instrument used was an independent observation scale (behavioral checklist on children's independence) with a Likert scale model and an interview guide. Data were analyzed using non-parametric Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results show p = 0.001 (p < 0.05), meaning that the application of the Montessori method significantly increases the independence of children at Bright Star Makassar School. The entire sample in this study became more independent after learning using the Montessori method was applied and there was not a single child who did not progress in independence. Likewise, based on descriptive statistical data, it was found that there was a difference in the average score of independence before and the average score of independence after learning treatment using the Montessori method. This research proves that children's independence can be increased through the Montessori method of learning.]

Abstract/Notes: Discipline is very important to be developed early on, while the definition of discipline itself is giving an understanding to which children should be obeyed and which should be avoided. Discipline also teaches children about making mistakes will certainly contain a number of consequences, for this reason the function of punishment in children's education. Discipline is a behavioral value that can be done by force and can be done voluntarily. This Montessori-based learning model can build discipline starting from getting children to tidy up their former food, washing dishes, being able to take responsibility for the assignments given by their teacher, which has been applied in kindergarten Awliya, Cirebon. This research uses descriptive qualitative method that seeks to provide background, unique characteristics. The data obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that children in the Awliya Kindergarten in Cirebon City could build their discipline through a Montessori-based learning model. This habit is a rare beginning in building discipline in early childhood.
