Abstract/Notes: Concern about the low level of social intelligence among elementary school students is something that needs to be addressed immediately. Efforts to foster social intelligence at SD Kanisius Sorowajan Yogyakarta are still carried out through habituation activities at school that are not carried out every day. However, SD Kanisius Sorowajan has not implemented efforts to improve the character of social intelligence by integrating learning in the classroom using innovative learning methods and adapted to local culture. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of ethnopedagogical learning for Javanese script using the Montessori method on the social intelligence character of elementary school students. For this reason, one group pretest-posttest design was used as the research method. A total of 20 children of class IVA at SD Kanisius Sorowajan, Yogyakarta, were involved as subjects in this study. The research instrument used in this study was a multiple-choice test instrument with 10 questions according to the indicators of social intelligence. The data obtained were then analysed using the IBM Statistics version 26 for windows program to calculate the effect and effectiveness with a 95% confidence level and with a two-tailed test. The research findings showed that ethnopedagogical learning for Javanese characters using the Montessori method had an effect on children's social intelligence characters (p < 0.05). The effect size was categorised as large (r = 0.8896 or equivalent to 79.14%). The learning effectiveness level is included in the high effectiveness level (N-gain score 82.52%). The results of semantic analysis show a dynamic pattern of social intelligence characters that can be classified into three dimensions, namely 1) moral knowledge, which is expressed by indicators of skill evaluation, social relationships, understanding expressions, managing emotions, 2) moral feelings, which are expressed by indicators of empathy, emotional turmoil, understanding feelings, assessing motivation, and 3) moral action, which is indicated by indicators of building relationships and good cooperation.

Abstract/Notes: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode montessori terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas I SD Negeri 51 Toli-Toli Kabupaten Pangkep. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen (Pre-experimental design). Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian Onegroup Pretest-Posttest Design. Prosedur penelitian meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan penyelesaian. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes dan observasi. Teknik analisis data berupa analisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial uji-t (t-test). Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas I SD Negeri 51 Toli-Toli Kabupaten Pangkep sebanyak 28 orang yang terdiri dari 12 laki-laki dan 16 perempuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode Montessori berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas I SD Negeri 51 Toli-Toli Kabupaten Pangkep. Terbukti dengan hasil analisis statistik deskriptif yang menunjukkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode Montessori mengalami perubahan yang lebih baik daripada sebelum diterapkannya metode Montessori. Hasil analisis statistik inferensial menggunakan rumus uji t (t-test), diketahui bahwa nilai t Hitung yang diperoleh adalah 26,77 dengan frekuensi db = 28 - 1 = 27, pada taraf signifikansi 0,05 (5%) diperoleh t 0,05 = 2,05183. Jadi, t Hitung > t Tabel atau Hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak dan Hipotesis Alternatif (H1) diterima. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa ada pengaruh dalam penggunaan metode Montessori terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas 1 SD Negeri 51 Toli-Toli Kabupaten Pangkep. [This research aims to determine the effect of using the Montessori method on the beginning reading abilities of class I students at SD Negeri 51 Toli-Toli, Pangkep Regency. This type of research is experimental research (Pre-experimental design). The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach with a Onegroup Pretest-Posttest Design research design. Research procedures include preparation, implementation and completion stages. Data collection techniques include tests and observations. The data analysis technique is in the form of descriptive statistical analysis and inferential t-test (t-test). The sample in this study was 28 class I students of SD Negeri 51 Toli-Toli, Pangkep Regency, consisting of 12 men and 16 women. The results of the study showed that the use of the Montessori method had an effect on the beginning reading ability of class I students at SD Negeri 51 Toli-Toli, Pangkep Regency. This is proven by the results of descriptive statistical analysis which shows that student learning outcomes using the Montessori method have changed for the better than before the implementation of the Montessori method. The results of inferential statistical analysis using the t test formula (t-test), it is known that the calculated t value obtained is 26.77 with a frequency of db = 28 - 1 = 27, at a significance level of 0.05 (5%) obtained t 0.05 = 2.05183. So, t Count > t Table or Null Hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the Alternative Hypothesis (H1) is accepted. This proves that there is an influence in using the Montessori method on the beginning reading abilities of grade 1 students at SD Negeri 51 Toli-Toli, Pangkep Regency.]

Abstract/Notes: SDN Gadingkulon 2 is located in Princi hamlet, Gadingkulon village, Dau sub-district, Malang Regency. The basic literacy teaching method at this school previously focused on recognizing letter symbols without a deep understanding of phonetic letter pronunciation. The method used in this service activity is Focus Group Discussion, basic literacy assistance which includes activities (phonic songs, identifying sounds, matching letters to pictures, identifying sounds with words), literacy learning assistance, and reflection and follow-up. The obstacle experienced in this activity is that the teacher must be able to match the letters being read with the appropriate vowel sounds. As a result of this mentoring activity, teachers can understand and apply basic literacy according to good and correct Indonesian language rules. The problem with this activity is that teachers still pronounce letter sounds according to the old method, this can be eliminated with continuous practice. / Metode pengajaran literasi dasar di SDN Gadingkulon sebelumnya fokus pada pengenalan symbol huruf tanpa pemahaman yang mendalam tentang pelafalan huruf fonetik. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini Focus Group Discussion, pendampingan litereasi dasar yang di dalamnya ada kegiatan (phonic song, mengidentifikasi bunyi, mencocokan dengan gambar huruf, mengidentifikasi bunyi dengan kata), pendampingan pembelajaran literasi, dan refleksi dna tindak lanjut. Kendala yang dialami pada kegiatan ini guru harus bisa menyesuaikan antara huruf yang dibaca dengan bunyi vocal yang sesuai. Hasil dari kegiatan pendampingan ini guru-guru dapat memahami dan menerapkan literasi dasar sesuai dengan kaidah Bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar. Adapun kendala dari kegiatan ini guru-guru masih melafalkan bunyi huruf sesuai dengan metode lama, hal ini dapat dihilangkan dengan Latihan secara terus menerus.

Abstract/Notes: This study aims to determine the implementation of the Montessori method, learning outcomes and things that influence the implementation of the Montessori method in improving Civics learning outcomes at SD Negeri 4 Dongos. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques are interviews, observations and documentation. The analysis method used is crossite analysis. The results of the analysis showed that the implementation of the Montessori method in Civics subjects of grade I semester 1 students of SD Negeri 4 Dongos was quite good. The teacher provides a carefully scientific environment and gives children direction or tutorials in that environment. Teachers constantly monitor children's growth and record their progress so that they can design children's activities to prepare for the next development, step by step. The learning outcomes of Civics at SD Negeri 4 Dongos class I semester 1 of the 2023/2024 academic year are quite good. Factors that influence the implementation of the Montessori method include a negative environment that cannot make student activities to learn, lack of parental supervision for example when students are not in school and lack of attention from teachers other than Civics subject teachers who view Civics subjects as just an ordinary lesson

Abstract/Notes: This research aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing the Montessori Method in an effort to build understanding of basic mathematical concepts in grade 1 students at MI Tarbiyatus Shibyan Kembiritan Genteng Banyuwangi. This research is quantitative quasi-experimental, using parallel classes namely classes for the experimental group that receive learning using the Montessori method and control group classes with conventional learning. Data was collected through a test of understanding basic mathematical concepts before (pretest) and after the intervention (post test). The research results show that the average value of N- Gain in the experimental class is 70.00. The average N-Gain value of the control class is 15.47. This shows that the Montessori Method is 54.53% more effective in improving student learning outcomes on adding tens and hundreds than conventional methods. The application of the Montessori method makes a positive contribution to increasing students' understanding, especially in critical aspects of mathematics for grade 1 students. Statistical analysis shows significant differences between the two groups, with a p-value of 0.00<0.05 which supports the effectiveness of the Montessori method. The implication of this research is that the application of the Montessori method can be used as an effective alternative learning approach to build understanding of basic mathematical concepts in grade 1 students. This can be a reference for schools, teachers and policy makers in designing more effective learning strategies at the educational level basic, especially at MI Tarbiyatus Shibyan Kembiritan Genteng Banyuwangi. Further studies can explore the long-term impact of implementing the Montessori method in the context of Islamic education.

Abstract/Notes: Penelitian Tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatakan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal pembagian siswa yang masih rendah dalam proses pembelajarnya matematika dikelas III SDN 025 Rambah Hilir. Berdasarkan pengamatan yang dilakukan penulis pada kelas III rendahnya kemampuan menyelesaikan soal pembagian, ditandai dengan belum terfokusnya siswa dengan kegiatan yang dilakukan dikelas. Adapun pelaksanaan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar anak melalui perbaikan pada siklus 1 dan siklus 2 dengan melakukan desain prosedur perbaikan, pengamatan, teknik analisis data serta melakukan refleksi diri untuk pendidik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dari siklus 1 sampai ke siklus 2. Pada tahap siklus 1 dari 16 orang peserta didik 8 orang mendapat nilai dibawah KKM dengan persentase 60% dan 4 orang mendapat nilai di atas KKM dengan persentase 40%. Hal ini dapat dilihat rata – rata siswa adalah 70 dikarenakan siswa mendapat nilai diatas KKM sudah melebihi dari 75 % yaitu 12 siswa dan yang mendapatkan nilai dibawah KKM sebanyak 4 siswa dengan presentase 25 %. Nilai tertinggi 80 dan nilai terendah 60 data Dari hasil pengamatan pendidik, menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan anak dalam menggunakan metode Montessori.

Abstract/Notes: Modification of Montessori Games on Fine Motor Skills in Early Childhood Group A Al Ijtihad Kindergarten Abstract Early childhood children are unique individuals in that they have different needs according to their age stages. At this time the process of growth and development in various physical, social, emotional and cognitive aspects is experiencing the fastest period in the development of human life. The results of observations in the field show that fine motor skills in group A Al Ijtihad Kindergarten are still low and experiencing delays. The fine motor activities provided do not really stimulate children's development and educators' strategies in delivering learning are still not appropriate. Montessori games, which are a learning method that depends on each student, have the advantage of fostering critical thinking, collaborating and acting more decisively, so it is important to implement them in the learning process to improve children's fine motor skills. The aim of this research is to determine the results of implementing modified Montessori games on fine motor skills in group A of Al Ijtihad Kindergarten. The research design used in this research is the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method, which aims to determine the progress of student learning outcomes after being given certain learning methods. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in children's fine motor skills by 55% based on evaluations from cycle 1 and cycle II. It is hoped that further research can expand the research area and sample size, as well as include various variations of games to develop aspects of children's abilities. / Anak usia dini merupakan individu yang unik dimana mereka mempunyai kebutuhan berbeda sesuai dengan tahapan usianya. Pada masa ini proses pertumbuhan dan perkembangan dalam berbagai aspek fisik, sosial emosional, kognitif sedang mengalami masa tercepat dalam rentang perkembangan kehidupan manusia. Hasil observasi di lapangan menunjukan bahwa kemampuan motorik halus pada kelompok A TK Al Ijtihad masih rendah dan mengalami keterlambatan. Kegiatan motorik halus yang diberikan tidak benar-benar menstimulus perkembangan anak dan strategi pendidik dalam menyampaikan pembelajaran masih kurang tepat. Permainan Montessori yang merupakan metode belajar yang bergantung pada masing-masing anak didik, memiliki keunggulan dalam menumbuhkan kekritisan berfikir, berkolaborasi, dan bertindak lebih tegas, sehingga penting untuk diimplentasikan dalam proses pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus anak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hasil implementasi modifikasi permainan montessori terhadap kemampuan motorik halus pada kelompok A TK Al Ijtihad. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui progres hasil belajar siswa setelah diberikan metode pembelajaran tertentu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan motorik halus anak sebesar 55% berdasarkan evaluasi dari siklus 1 dan siklus II. Penelitian lebih lanjut diharapkan dapat memperluas area penelitian dan jumlah sampel, serta memasukkan berbagai variasi permainan untuk mengembangkan aspek kemampuan anak.

Abstract/Notes: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Montessori method in instilling the character of responsibility of Lab School FIP UMJ elementary school students. By using the Montessori method, students are trained to do something on their own with the direction of teachers and parents. At school students are trained to do daily activities consciously and responsibly. Data collection uses several techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. Some of the tools used in student activities such as buttons, patchwork, needles, threads, pencils, scissors. In the activity of making their own breakfast, students bring some ingredients such as bread, beef slice, lettuce, cheese, packaged sauce, mayonnaise, and so on. By learning daily activities can train students in cultivating the character of responsibility. There are 18 characters but this research only focuses on the character of responsibility. Students' awareness to do their own daily activities needs to be instilled in students continuously. The character of responsibility can be formed not by itself, but by habits that are carried out continuously or continuously. Realizing the character of responsibility is a noble value for the life of individual creatures, social creatures who hone the character of responsibility in order to behave well, do good, and have good morals. Responsibility can be in the form of action or speech. The focus of this research is student action. The consequences for students who are unable to instill the character of responsibility will get social sanctions. / Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode Montessori dalam menanamkan karakter tanggung jawab siswa SD Lab School FIP UMJ. Dengan menggunakan metode Montessori, siswa dilatih untuk melakukan sesuatu sendiri dengan arahan dari guru dan orang tua. Di sekolah siswa dilatih untuk melakukan aktivitas sehari-hari secara sadar dan bertanggung jawab. Pengumpulan data menggunakan beberapa teknik yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Beberapa alat yang digunakan dalam kegiatan siswa seperti kancing, tambal sulam, jarum, benang, pensil, gunting. Dalam kegiatan membuat sarapan sendiri, siswa membawa beberapa bahan seperti roti, irisan daging sapi, selada, keju, saus kemasan, mayonaise, dan lain sebagainya. Dengan pembelajaran kegiatan sehari-hari dapat melatih siswa dalam menumbuhkan karakter tanggung jawab. Terdapat 18 karakter namun penelitian ini hanya berfokus pada karakter tanggung jawab. Kesadaran siswa untuk melakukan aktivitas sehari-hari sendiri perlu ditanamkan pada diri siswa secara terus menerus. Karakter tanggung jawab tidak dapat terbentuk dengan sendirinya, melainkan melalui kebiasaan yang dilakukan secara terus menerus atau terus menerus. Mewujudkan karakter tanggung jawab merupakan nilai luhur bagi kehidupan makhluk individu, makhluk sosial yang mengasah karakter tanggung jawab agar berperilaku baik, berbuat baik, dan berakhlak mulia. Tanggung jawab dapat berupa tindakan atau ucapan. Fokus penelitian ini adalah tindakan siswa. Konsekuensinya bagi siswa yang tidak mampu menanamkan karakter tanggung jawab akan mendapat sanksi sosial.

Abstract/Notes: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan apakah pengenalan warna dasar atau warna primer pada siswa tunagrahita meningkat melalui metode Montessori di SLB Negeri 1 Padang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan pendekatan desain ABA Single Subject Research (SSR) Analisis akan digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu analisis visual grafik. Hasil baseline (A1) 25 %, 25%, 25%, dan 25%. Selanjutnya pengamatan saat kondisi intervensi dengan persentase 54,1%, 58,3%, 62,5%, 70,8%, 75%, 83.3%, 83.3%, dan 83,3%. Terakhir pengamatan yang dilakssiswaan pada kondisi baseline (A2) dengan perolehan persentase yaitu 83,3%, 91,6%, 91,6% dan 91,6%. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan kemampuan mengenal warna dasar melalui metode montessori bagi siswa tunagrahita Sedang Kelas I/C di SLB Negeri 1 Padang menjadi meningkat. [The purpose of this study was to prove whether the recognition of basic colors or primary colors in mentally retarded students increased through the Montessori method at SLB Negeri 1 Padang. This research is an experimental research using the ABA Single Subject Research (SSR) design approach. The analysis that will be used in this study is graphical visual analysis. Baseline results (A1) 25%, 25%, 25%, and 25%. Furthermore, observations during intervention conditions with percentages of 54.1%, 58.3%, 62.5%, 70.8%, 75%, 83.3%, 83.3%, and 83.3%. The last observation was carried out by students in baseline conditions (A2) with percentage gains of 83.3%, 91.6%, 91.6% and 91.6%. The results of this study indicate that the ability to recognize basic colors through the Montessori method for students with moderate mental retardation in Class I/C at SLB Negeri 1 Padang has increased]

The Use of Montessori-Based Salt Tray Media in Early Writing Learning for Grade I Students at SDN 46 Banda Aceh

Abstract/Notes: Beginning writing learning in grade I looks not very interesting because so far the teacher only uses media in the form of textbooks which are usually readily available, this has caused many students to have not mastered initial writing skills. This is due to the lack of use of media that stimulates students' interest in learning to write the beginning. The formulation of the problem raised in this study is how to use Montessori-based Salt Tray media in learning to write beginning in grade I students at SDN 46 Banda Aceh. This study aims to describe the use of Montessori-based Salt Tray media in learning to write beginning in grade I students of SDN 46 Banda Aceh. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. The subjects in this study were class I teachers as homeroom teachers at the school. The data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The data collected in this study were teacher and student observation sheets and interviews with a total of 11 questions. Then the data were analyzed with 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the implementation of learning to write beginning using Montessori-based Salt Tray media for class I students at SDN 46 Banda Aceh went very well, and had integrated it with Montessori principles. The existence of Montessori-based Salt Tray media has helped teachers convey material, and students are also enthusiastic about learning while playing, and are more focused on the material being taught. / Pembelajaran menulis permulaan di kelas I terlihat tidakebegitu menarik karena selama ini guru hanya menggunakan media berupa buku teks yang biasanya sudahetersedia, hal tersebut menyebabkan banyak siswa yang belum menguasai keterampilan menulis permulaan. Kurangnya penggunaan media yang merangsang minat siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis permulaan menjadi alasan hal tersebut terjadi. Adapun rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah bagaimana penggunaan media Salt Tray berbasis Montessori dalam pembelajaran menulis permulaan pada siswa kelas I SDN 46 Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan media Salt Tray berbasis Montessori dalam pembelajaran menulis permulaan pada siswa kelas I SDN 46 Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metoderpenelitianekualitatif deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru kelas I selaku guru wali kelas di sekolah tersebut. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini yaitu lembar observasi dan wawancara dengan jumlah 11 pertanyaan. Kemudian data dianalisis dengan 3 tahapan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pelaksanaan pembelajaran menulis permulaan dengan menggunakan media Salt Tray berbasis Montessori pada siswa kelas I SDN 46 Banda Aceh tergolong sangat baik, dan penerapan media Salt Tray berbasis Montessori dalam pembelajaran menulis permulaan pada siswa kelas I SDN 46 Banda Aceh sudah diterapkanoguru dengan baik,sdan sudahimemadukan dengan prinsip-prinsip Montessori.
