Abstract/Notes: "When her work at the exposition is finished, Dr. Maria Montessori, the Italian educator, will go to Wisconsin to become a member of the faculty of the Stevens Point normal school. She is to become temporary head of a newly created Montessori training department and will give a … course for the training of teachers. Dr. Montessori is to begin her course of twelve lectures for parents at the Palace Hotel at 4 o’clock on the afternoon of October 21st. The lectures are to follow on successive Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. She will leave San Francisco in January."

Abstract/Notes: This newspaper clipping is contained within a scrapbook compiled by G. Aubrey Davidson (President of the Panama-California Exposition). Regarding Maria Montessori, the article states, "The school will be opened July 5 and be in session six weeks. One of its big features will be the Montessori school for children which will be established in a wild flower field in rear of the California building. This school will be taught by Dr. Maria Montessori and her assistants."
