Abstract/Notes: This study examined the effects of the Montessori Method on preschool children’s psychosocial development and social problem solving. The research group is composed of 4-5 year olds attending preschool education in 2014–2015 school year total of 160 children were included in the study, 80 being in the experimental group and 80 being in the control group. In this research, “pretest posttest control group quasi-experimental design” is used to determine the mentioned effect. The data of the research was obtained by using the scale of Pre-school Psychological Observation Forms for Children and Wally Child Social Problem–Solving Detective Game Test. The tests were administered to children before and after experimentation, and it was applied to experimental group again three weeks later. Independent groups t-test, ANCOVA and paired t test were used to analyze the data. The findings of this research indicate that Montessori Education Program is effective on psychosocial development and social problem solving of children. / Bu araştırmada, Montessori Eğitim Programının okul öncesi eğitime devam eden 4-5 yaş grubu çocuklarının psikososyal gelişimlerine ve sosyal problem çözme becerilerine etkisi incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2014-2015 eğitim öğretim yılında okul öncesi eğitime devam eden, 4-5 yaş arasında 80 deney grubu ve 80 kontrol grubu olmak üzere toplam 160 çocuk oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada Montessori Eğitim Programı’nın çocukların psikososyal gelişimlerine ve sosyal problem çözme becerilerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla öntest sontest kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri Okul Öncesi Çocuklar için Psikolojik Gözlem Formu Ölçeği ve Wally Çocuk Sosyal Problem Çözme Dedektif Oyun Ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Testler çocuklara deneme öncesi ve sonrasında uygulanmış; ayrıca deneme grubuna üç hafta sonra tekrar uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin analizinde; bağımsız gruplar için t testi, ANCOVA ve bağımlı gruplar için t testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulguları, Montessori Eğitim Programı’nın çocukları psikososyal gelişimlerinde ve sosyal problem çözme becerilerinde etkili olduğunu göstermektedir.

Abstract/Notes: The relationships among school adjustment, victimisation, and gender were investigated with 284 Turkish children aged between five and six years. Teacher Rating Scale of School Adjustment, The Preschool Behaviour Questionnaire, and Peer Victimisation Scale were used in this study. Analyses indicated that children's behaviour problems and victimisation variables were significant predictors of the school adjustment of children while controlling for gender.

Abstract/Notes: Abstrakt Koncepcja kształcenia zintegrowanego ma bogate tradycje w historii myśli pedagogicznej, szczególnie w koncepcji szkół alternatywnych z początku XX wieku (O. Decroly, C. Freinet, M. Montessori). W Polsce koncepcja ta została wdrożona do klas I–III zgodnie z reformą szkolnictwa w 1999 roku. W poszukiwaniu najlepszych rozwiązań metodycznych, organizacyjnych trwa dyskusja nad modelem systemu kształcenia dzieci. Obecnie metodyczne aspekty pracy z dziećmi ujmowane są w oparciu o ideę konstruktywistycznie zorientowanej dydaktyki, która kładzie duży nacisk na to, aby na warunki w jakich zachodzi proces uczenia się w większym stopniu wpływ miały osoby bezpośrednio zaangażowane, czyli uczniowie, nauczyciele i rodzice. Konstruktywiści, postrzegający naukę jako indywidualny proces budowania własnej wiedzy, wskazują na rolę uczącej się jednostki. W artykule podkreślone zostało znaczenie neurodydaktyki, czyli koncepcji nauczania i uczenia się przyjaznego mózgowi. Szkolne nauczanie wciąż jeszcze jest postrzegane jako pas transmisyjny, gdzie jedna strona jest aktywnym nadawcą, a druga pasywnym odbiorcą. W polskim systemie szkolnym obok szkół o pełnej strukturze organizacyjnej, w których proces kształcenia realizowany jest w klasach jednorodnych wiekowo, funkcjonują szkoły o niepełnej strukturze organizacyjnej, gdzie zajęcia dydaktyczno-wychowawcze są realizowane w systemie łączenia klas. Ostatnia część artykułu dotyczy kształcenia nauczycieli. Dobór nauczycieli do pracy z dziećmi stanowi fundament, od którego zależy dalsze funkcjonowanie dziecka w szkole.
