Abstract/Notes: Parent-teacher partnership could dramatically improve educational outcomes for students (Bikmaz & Guler, 2003; Epstein, 2001). However, most teachers and parents lack knowledge and resources for creating this relationship (Christenson, 2004; Epstein, 2001; Henderson & Mapp, 2002). The interactive handbook is a tool for Montessori elementary educators and parents that addresses the common barriers to connection and develops a partnership to provide a continuation of lessons and values from the classroom to the home. The implementation is focused on the Montessori elementary context as it correlates to the "cosmic education" philosophy. Current parents and teachers in the public and private sector of Montessori elementary education evaluated the handbook, and their feedback was incorporated to be the most relevant and effective tool possible. Abstract/Notes: Abstract Montessori has become one of early learning methods chosen by Indonesian parentsat this moment, formally through education institution, or informally through selflearning at home (Bigceglia, 2014; Woo, 2014); both dedicated for normal and special needs kids (Cipta, et al,, 2019). Montessori education needs Montessori aparatus(specially designed Montessori tools to support sensorial learning) which is relativelyexpensive. Early learning education is normally done within 2-3 hours at school, thusthese toddlers spend most of their time at home. Thus it is clear there is need for parents to stimulate them in the right way, one of the way is by providing Montessoriaparatus or other more affordable sensorial toys. Using multiple methods of data gathering (primary & secondary), toy redesign, design iteration, user product trial andreview; the result of this research is 12 new Montessori toys integrated in coffee table, which add values in terms of multifunction, price, quality, and still apply Montessoriconcept.

Abstract/Notes: The ultimate goal of Montessori educators is to prepare the child, the whole child. One who is not only excelling academically, but also is independent, a critical thinker, and can collaborate with people from all different walks of life. The role of the Montessori educators is to prepare and guide children to independence, this is an increasingly difficult goal to achieve independence and self-regulation especially in the three to six, and six to nine age group. The Montessori guides have grappled with the disconnect between the home environment and school environment, citing it as the major obstacle to children’s independence. In this paper, the literature about parent involvement and its impact on children independence and self-regulation in a Montessori classroom are reviewed. This paper explains the research tools that were employed throughout the research period as well as the methodology, and findings and conclusions.
