Abstract/Notes: Psikolojik dayanıklılık zorluklarla karşılaşan bireylerin mücadele etmesi ve bu mücadeleyi sürdürebilmesi adına önem taşımaktadır. / Psychological resilience is important for individuals who face difficulties and sustain struggle in their lives. Individuals with high psychological resilience are those who can benefit from the difficulties they face. Psychological resilience is a personality trait that can be developed. Maria Montessori describes the method which has its name from her as “I have studied the child; I have taken what the child has given me and expressed it, and that is what is called the Montessori Method” Montessori philosophy, which is a unique educational approach, supports the child to become a selfsufficient individual. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effect of Montessori education philosophy on psychological resilience. This study was carried out by observing 20 students between 24-72 months and the factors that make up psychological resilience were examined. In this context, the psychological resilience of children who are educated with Montessori philosophy were discussed under these headings: assertiveness-selfconfidence, getting help, self-regulation, peer relationships, social competence, attachment, happiness, emotion control, satisfaction deferment and problem solving skills. As a result of the research, it was observed that children who were educated with Montessori philosophy had higher psychological resilience. In addition, it was observed that Montessori philosophy contributes to children being individuals who can make their own decisions, take responsibility for these decisions, have the freedom to work, are self-sufficient and can express themselves.

Abstract/Notes: Bookending her article with questions for the Montessori practitioner, Judith Cunningham provides a theoretical overview of how the Montessori child is empowered to enact social change and is inspired to work for the betterment of the world. Cunningham lays the foundation by describing the world in which Maria Montessori lived and how the events of her time shaped her work and thinking. She discusses the importance of the unity that is formed through Cosmic Education and how important this unity becomes to the mission of the adolescent, "By understanding his cosmic task, his contribution to the preservation and betterment of the world, and with the ultimate goal of creating true peace, the child is empowered." Abstract/Notes: This paper lends insight into the fundamental postulates of Montessori pedagogyand definitions of contemporary educational neuroscience, focusing on the needsand solutions of contemporary didactic approaches. By presenting the results ofcontemporary researches, the paper connects the achievements of Montessoripedagogic methods and strategies with the scientific indicators of educationalneuroscience about the manners of positive impact on the development of anindividual. The results of the educational neuroscience research will corroborate thepostulates of Montessori pedagogy that state that understanding the developmentalstages of upbringing, individual competences, and specificities of each child areimportant for upbringing. Specific cases will be used to emphasize that, apartfrom the cognitive competence, it is essential to develop psychomotor and affectivecompetences, meaning that the development of these personality spheres isconnected and interdependent. By providing the pedagogic perspective, the paperpoints to the need for further deliberation on how to shape an optimal curriculum. The paper suggests that various social and technological changes are reasons toconsider pedagogic methods, strategies, and approaches of Montessori, which is alsosupported and substantiated by contemporary educational neuroscience.Key words: didactics; Montessori pedagogy; neurodidactics; neuroscience.
