Abstract/Notes: This paper is aimed to present the analysis of the current situation of the studies on the Montessori Method in primary schools. This study adopted a meta-synthesis design to interpret and evaluate the qualitative findings of the studies and to point out their similarities and differences to make further interpretations. Data collection started on August 1, 2020 was completed May 30, 2021. The sample consisted of 16 studies.The data were analyzed using inductive content analysis. The studies were summarized under the headings of subject matter, design, data collection tools, objective/significance, results and recommendations. As for subject matters, the studies did an in-depth analysis of the Montessori Method, examined school atmosphere, provided detailed information on learning environments, and compared the Montessori Method to other models. The studies employed data triangulation to ensure credibility and consistency. The samples of the studies consisted of first-grade students, teachers, and documents. The studies did not address the Montessori Method in different branches. The Montessori Method has something in common with other methods, which is “World Citizenship.” The Montessori Method is based on individual assessment. The findings were discussed throughly literature and various suggestions were made. / Bu araştırmada ilkokulda Montessori modelini inceleyen çalışmaların mevcut durumunun analizinin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada çalışmaların nitel bulgularının yorumlanması, değerlendirilmesi, benzer, farklı yönlerinin ortaya koyulup yeni çıkarımların yapılmasını amaçlayan meta-sentez yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasına 1 Ağustos 2020 tarihinde başlanmış, 30 Mayıs 2021'de veri toplama süreci tamamlanmıştır. 16 çalışma veri analiz sürecine dahil edilmiştir. Veri çözümlemesi için tümevarımsal içerik analiz yöntemi belirlenmiş, çalışmalar konu alanları, yöntem, veri analizi, elde edilen sonuçlar ve elde edilen sonuçlara yönelik öneriler başlıkları altında özetlenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda ilkokulda yapılan Montessori temelli çalışmaların konu alanlarında Montessori modelinin derinleştirilmesi, okul atmosferinin incelenmesi, öğrenme ortamının detaylandırılması ve diğer alanlarla kıyaslandığı görülmüştür. Çalışmalarda inanırlık ve tutarlılığın yüksek tutulması için veri üçlemesine önem verildiği, çalışma gruplarının ise ilkokul 1. sınıf öğrencileri, öğretmenleri ve dokümanın olduğu saptanmıştır. Araştırmada Montessori modelinin diğer alternatif yöntemlerle ortak yanının “Dünya Vatandaşlığı” kavramı olması, bireysel değerlendirmelere önem verişiyle ön planda olduğu görülmüştür. Elde edilen bulgular literatür ışığında tartışılmış ve çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Abstract/Notes: Abstract Montessori has become one of early learning methods chosen by Indonesian parentsat this moment, formally through education institution, or informally through selflearning at home (Bigceglia, 2014; Woo, 2014); both dedicated for normal and special needs kids (Cipta, et al,, 2019). Montessori education needs Montessori aparatus(specially designed Montessori tools to support sensorial learning) which is relativelyexpensive. Early learning education is normally done within 2-3 hours at school, thusthese toddlers spend most of their time at home. Thus it is clear there is need for parents to stimulate them in the right way, one of the way is by providing Montessoriaparatus or other more affordable sensorial toys. Using multiple methods of data gathering (primary & secondary), toy redesign, design iteration, user product trial andreview; the result of this research is 12 new Montessori toys integrated in coffee table,which add values in terms of multifunction, price, quality, and still apply Montessoriconcept.  Abstrak Montessori menjadi salah satu metode pendidikan usia dasar yang dipilihorang tua Indonesia saat ini, baik secara formal melalui institusi pendidikanresmi, maupun secara informal melalui pembelajaran otodidak di rumah(Bisceglia, 2014; Woo, 2014); baik diperuntukkan untuk anak normal maupununtuk anak berkebutuhan khusus (Cipta, et al., 2019). Pendidikan Montessori sarat dengan aparatus Montessori yang relatif mahal (alat bermain khasMontessori yang dirancang sedemikian rupa untuk mendukung pembelajaran sensori). Dengan durasi PAUD kurikulum apapun yang hanya 2-3 jam disekolah, anak usia dini biasanya lebih banyak menghabiskan waktu di rumah,sehingga jelas ada kebutuhan orang tua untuk memberikan stimulasi yangtepat untuk tumbuh kembang anak, dan salah satunya adalah dengan aparatus Montessori atau mainan sensori lainnya yang lebih terjangkau. Denganberbagai metode pengumpulan data primer dan sekunder, redesain mainan,proses iterasi desain, uji coba produk ke pengguna; dirancang 12 produkmainan Montessori baru yang terintegrasi dengan meja kopi ruang tamu,yang memiliki nilai tambah dari sisi multifungsi, harga, kualitas, dan tetapmengindahkan konsep Montessori.

Abstract/Notes: Froebel and Montessori are compared in their approaches for teaching preschool children the concept of number, numerical calculation, vulgar fraction and geometrical concepts. Froebel's approach is largely metaphysical whereas Montessori's is largely sensorial. But their approaches are not diametrically opposed to each other but rather cmoplementary to each other from the educational view point. Their different claims or views should be closely studied and objectively evaluated through various experiments, before any of them are seriously incorporated in our educational practices.

Abstract/Notes: Bu araştırmada, Montessori Yönteminin anaokulu çocuklarının ilköğretime hazır bulunuşluklarına etkisi incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın bağımlı değişkenini anaokuluna devam eden çocukların ?ilköğretime hazır bulunuşlukları?; bağımsız değişkeni ise ?Montessori Yöntemi? oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, 2009?2010 öğretim yılında Konya ili, Selçuklu ilçesi, Selçuk Üniversitesi Mesleki Eğitim Fakültesi İhsan Doğramacı Uygulama Anaokulu'nda eğitim alan ve yansız atama ile seçilen beş ? altı yaş grubu anaokulu çocuklarından oluşmaktadır. Araştırmaya, 25 deney grubuna ve 25 kontrol grubuna olmak üzere toplam 50 çocuk dâhil edilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu oluşturulurken cinsiyet değişkeni göz önünde bulundurulmuştur ve gruplar eşitlenmiştir. Araştırmada anaokulu çocuklarının okul olgunluklarını belirlemek amacıyla Metropolitan Olgunluk Testi, anaokulu çocuklarının sosyal becerilerini belirlemek amacıyla PKBS Anasınıfı ve Anaokulu Davranış Ölçeği B Formu, anaokulu çocuklarının dikkat toplama becerilerini belirlemek amacıyla ise FTF-K Beş Yaş Çocukları İçin Dikkat Toplama Testi kullanılmıştır. Testler çocuklara deneme öncesi ve sonrasında uygulanmış; ayrıca deneme grubuna 6 hafta sonra tekrar uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin analizinde; Mann Witney U Testi ve Wilcoxon işaretli sıralar testi işlemleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular aşağıda özetlenmiştir: ? Deney grubu çocuklarının genel okul olgunluğu son test puan ortalamaları, deney grubu çocuklarının genel okul olgunluğu ön test puan ortalamalarından anlamlı düzeyde yüksektir. ? Deney grubu çocuklarının sosyal beceriler son test puan ortalamaları, deney grubu çocuklarının sosyal beceriler ön test puan ortalamalarından anlamlı düzeyde yüksektir. ? Deney grubu çocuklarının dikkat toplama becerileri son test puan ortalamaları, deney grubu çocuklarının dikkat toplama becerileri ön test puan ortalamalarından anlamlı düzeyde yüksektir. ? Deney grubu çocuklarının genel okul olgunluğu son test puan ortalamaları, kontrol grubu çocuklarının genel okul olgunluğu son test puan ortalamalarından anlamlı düzeyde yüksek olduğu sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır. ? Deney grubu çocuklarının sosyal beceriler son test puan ortalamaları, kontrol grubu çocuklarının sosyal beceriler son test puan ortalamalarından anlamlı düzeyde yüksek olduğu sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır. ? Elde edilen sonuçlar doğrultusunda ulaşılan genel sonuç; Montessori Yöntemi'nin anaokulu çocuklarının ilköğretime hazır bulunuşluklarına olumlu yönde katkı sağladığı ve hali hazırda uygulanan okul öncesi eğitim programı (Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı Okul Öncesi Eğitim Programı) na göre daha etkili olduğudur. / This research was studied with the purpose of analyzing the effect of Montessori method supported by social skills training program on kindergarten children's skills of understanding feelings and social problem solving. 53 children who attended at Selcuk University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Ihsan Dogramaci Aplication Nursery School in Konya in 2013-2014 school year were included in the study group. Wally Feelings Test and Wally Social Problem Solving Test were used as data collection tool. The tests were applied to the children as pre and post test; in addition, the tests were applied to the experimental group again six weeks after the end of the educational program. Kruskal Wallis H test and Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test were used to analysis of data obtained in the study. When findings were analyzed, comparing scores of posttest of Wally Feelings Test and Wally Social Problem Solving Test of experimental, control 1 and control 2 groups, it was found that there was a meaningful differentiation in favor of experimental group. When comparing posttest and follow-up test of Wally Feelings Test and Wally Social Problem Solving Test scores of experimental group, it was proved that there was not a meaningful differentiation. The overall outcome of the study based on the obtained results is that Montessori Method Supported by Social Skills Training Program supports the development of children's skills of understanding feelings and social problem solving.

Abstract/Notes: SDN Gadingkulon 2 is located in Princi hamlet, Gadingkulon village, Dau sub-district, Malang Regency. The basic literacy teaching method at this school previously focused on recognizing letter symbols without a deep understanding of phonetic letter pronunciation. The method used in this service activity is Focus Group Discussion, basic literacy assistance which includes activities (phonic songs, identifying sounds, matching letters to pictures, identifying sounds with words), literacy learning assistance, and reflection and follow-up. The obstacle experienced in this activity is that the teacher must be able to match the letters being read with the appropriate vowel sounds. As a result of this mentoring activity, teachers can understand and apply basic literacy according to good and correct Indonesian language rules. The problem with this activity is that teachers still pronounce letter sounds according to the old method, this can be eliminated with continuous practice. / Metode pengajaran literasi dasar di SDN Gadingkulon sebelumnya fokus pada pengenalan symbol huruf tanpa pemahaman yang mendalam tentang pelafalan huruf fonetik. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini Focus Group Discussion, pendampingan litereasi dasar yang di dalamnya ada kegiatan (phonic song, mengidentifikasi bunyi, mencocokan dengan gambar huruf, mengidentifikasi bunyi dengan kata), pendampingan pembelajaran literasi, dan refleksi dna tindak lanjut. Kendala yang dialami pada kegiatan ini guru harus bisa menyesuaikan antara huruf yang dibaca dengan bunyi vocal yang sesuai. Hasil dari kegiatan pendampingan ini guru-guru dapat memahami dan menerapkan literasi dasar sesuai dengan kaidah Bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar. Adapun kendala dari kegiatan ini guru-guru masih melafalkan bunyi huruf sesuai dengan metode lama, hal ini dapat dihilangkan dengan Latihan secara terus menerus.
