Abstract/Notes: Learning media are learning aids that can be physical or non-physical to convey messages from teachers to students. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the use and process of product development in the form of Montessori-based learning media in science learning for fifth grade students. The research is a development research (R & D) with the Sugiyono development procedure. Based on the result of product validation, it received an “appropriate” assessment with a score of 3,6 from material experts. While media experts rated “strongly agree” with a score of 4,5. Based on result of product trials, it is known that average pretest value is 52,64 and posttest is 76,66 so that it has increased. Product assessment by students through questionnaires gets a score of 3,98 or when views in the classification table, namely “agree”. Based on the use trial, the average pretest value was 36,8 and posttest was 72,2 so thatit experienced an increase. Product assessment by students through questionnaires gets an average score of 4,3 or if seen in the table, it is “Strongly agree”. This shows that the learning media based on the Montessori method development can be said to be feasible to use.

Abstract/Notes: The Montessori method, which is a learning method that depends on each student, has the advantage of growing critical thinking, collaborating, and acting more assertively. Children with good cognition are characterized by problem-solving skills by prioritizing prosocial in every interaction, and vice versa. The lack of research in the field of sports related to motor and montessori movements, especially in West Nusa Tenggara and the results of observations at the MI Al Ijtihad school still use a monotonous learning pattern so that students tend to be passive, not independent and not confident so that it affects motor skills, in this study what is meant is rough motoric. The population in this study were students of MI Al-Ijtihad, totaling 20 students. In this study, researchers used purposive sampling with certain criteria. In this study, the researchers used instruments, namely the Zig-zag Running test and the Throwing the ball at the target. The type of research used is a quantitative experiment with a pre-test post-test group design. The data analysis technique used is the t-test through the t-test formula. From the results of statistical data analysis of the effect of modification of props on gross motor skills, the tcount X (throwing the ball at the target) of 5.446 simultaneously between Y and X1 draws conclusions from the table analysis at a significant level of 5% with the number of samples (n - 1), namely 19 is 2,869. So it can be concluded that ''There is an effect of modification of Montessori teaching aids on gross motor skills seen from tcount > ttable (5.446 > 2.869).

Abstract/Notes: The ultimate goal of Montessori educators is to prepare the child, the whole child. One who is not only excelling academically, but also is independent, a critical thinker, and can collaborate with people from all different walks of life. The role of the Montessori educators is to prepare and guide children to independence, this is an increasingly difficult goal to achieve independence and self-regulation especially in the three to six, and six to nine age group. The Montessori guides have grappled with the disconnect between the home environment and school environment, citing it as the major obstacle to children’s independence. In this paper, the literature about parent involvement and its impact on children independence and self-regulation in a Montessori classroom are reviewed. This paper explains the research tools that were employed throughout the research period as well as the methodology, and findings and conclusions.
