Abstract/Notes: This article deals with the first twenty years (1911-1934) of the presence of the Montessori Method in France. The reconstruction is based on written evidences and on the main actors’ experiences in the implementation of Maria Montessori’s ideas. This historical outline allows to better recognise the reasons why Montessori’s educative principles were not welcomed in France so warmly as in other European countries. Several initiatives took indeed place, but they remained insubstantial because they were almost always the result of efforts carried by single persons rather than institutions.

Abstract/Notes: In Maria Montessori’s scientific analysis of the relationship between peace as an objective and education as a practice to build it, the Italian scientist and pedagogist established cardinal principles and universal purposes from which fundamental educational guidelines derive. A rereading of the Conferences on Education and Peace which Maria Montessori held between 1932 and 1939 reveals strong similarities with the national indications of the Italian school (2012) and offers pedagogical coordinates for interpreting educational needs that continue to represent challenges today / En la seva anàlisi científica de la relació entre la pau, com a objectiu, i l’educació, com a pràctica per construir-la, Maria Montessori va fixar principis cardinals i propòsits universals dels quals deriven fonaments educatius de vital rellevància. [In this work, the levels of adaptation, anxiety and self-esteem registered in 72 students from a traditional school and 65 from a Montessori school in the city of Puebla, between 9 and 12 years of age, are described and compared. Not having found statistically significant differences in the three variables studied between these two schools, it is possible to conclude that both adaptation, anxiety and self-esteem are phenomena determined by a multiplicity of internal factors (intelligence, personality, maturation, aptitudes, attitudes , among others.), and external (family, school, society, culture), which act interrelated. Likewise, the existing correlations between adaptation, anxiety and self-esteem are established. The factor analyzes applied to the three psychometric instruments used in this research are also described, since two were generated in Spain and another in the United States of America. It is recommended that, given the shortage of psychometric instruments built and validated in our country, research is promoted aimed at the production and dissemination of tests in Mexico, which will allow reliable and valid studies in the field of Psychology.]

Abstract/Notes: The purpose of this Bachelor's thesis is to find out children's satisfaction with day care in montessori kindergarten Aurinkoleijona. This study is part of Verkonkutoja-project conducted at Turku University of Applied Sciences. The objective of this research is to create a patern to collect and process customers' feedback. It focuses on five to six years old children in Aurinkoleijona Salo Unit. ”Quality Game” adapted to the children's needs and abilities was used to collect the data. It contained 24 questions considering six themes related to day care: empathy, educational work, circumstances, reliability, responsiveness and assurance. The total of 11 children played the ”Quality Game for Children”: the test group of 3 children in Halikko Unit and 8 children in Salo Unit. The theoretical frame of reference for this thesis was defined in accordance with the quality of day care. It consisted of the facts collected from different sources. The quality of day care is comprised of the experiences of both clients – children and parents – and day care - workers. The quality of day care can be called intersubjective. According to the results, most of the children are satisfied with day care in montessori kindergarten Aurinkoleijona according to the results. Children are especially satisfied with the staff of Aurinkoleijona and its action. All the corresponders can depend on day care adults. Some of the children think that the adults do not have enough time for them. They also give criticism of the day care assignments. The present time and events has an influence on children's satisfaction. There are occasional events in the background of dissatisfaction. Concentration on the game and other children's opinions have an influence on the results. The results show that children are fond of day care theme days, but there is room for improvement. The results of the thesis and the ”Quality Game for Children” will be used in Verkonkutoja-project during next year. Varsinkin tyytymättömyyden taustalla on yksittäiset tapahtumat.

This study analyzes the presence and approach of Montessori pedagogy in Spanish journals In-fan-cia, Aula de infantil and Cuadernos de Pedagogía.
